05.30.18 was a lovely day to get married. It was 80 degrees and sunny, which is highly unusual weather for Copenhagen at the end of May. We woke up at 6 a.m. for a run around the canals, then we walked to the Copenhagen City Hall to get married in the same room my parents did almost 40 years ago. Afterwards we ate cake -- strawberry for me, mint chocolate for Taylor -- and swam in the canals (well, Taylor did -- it was too cold for me!). We pigged out on baguettes and had a 4 course meal, followed by a trip to the Tivoli to ride a swing that circles high above the city. Here's to 70 more years filled with days like this. (Because I plan to live to be 102, obviously, and Taylor won't last a day without me.)
